What about calls regarding suicide?
Everyone who works at the Distress Centre, whether they’re a volunteer or an employee, is trained in the LivingWorks’ Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) workshop. This training allows them to discuss suicide with callers in an open, direct and non-judgmental manner. In short, we are here to listen, support and intervene when there is a risk of suicide. Every life matters, and we're here to help with your struggle.
Have you ever thought to yourself "How can I help someone who may be thinking about suicide? How would I know what to say or do?"
This is your opportunity to take part in the Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training workshop (ASIST) on June 25 & 26th!
