We are extremely fortunate to have Amanda Jette Knox as our 2018 Guest Speaker.
Amanda Jetté Knox is an award-winning writer, human rights advocate and public speaker.
In early 2014, her middle child came out to the family as a transgender girl, shifting the focus of her mom’s writing career towards LGBTQ rights and education. Alexis' journey changed everything, and taught Amanda a great deal about courage, compassion and authenticity. It made her a better person. Full stop. A few months later, inspired by Alexis' courage, Amanda’s spouse, Zoe, came out as a transgender woman. It’s been two years of very big changes for this family!
Amanda's own struggles with anxiety & mental health is also a big part of her life, which she so chooses to speak about openly.
We are in search of amazing sponsors!
We are looking for incredible local & national companies to join hands with us at our 11th annual Chocolate Affair Gala in support of our 24/7 services. You don't have to be a chocolatier to be a sponsor - we are simply looking for businesses who want to make a difference in the lives of others by supporting mental health services. In 2017, we answered 54,800 calls for help from people in our communities. All proceeds from our Chocolate Affair Gala help keep our phone lines open so that we are able to answer every single call that comes through to us.
If you are interested in learning more about what a sponsorship may look like for our Chocolate Affair Gala, please contact our Community Relations Coordinator, Leslie Scott for more information. There's nothing better than businesses working together to save lives.
Chocolatiers are welcome too! If you have a delicious business that you want to share with our attendees, let's chat!
